About Miah
Hi there! My name is Miah Saulsberry and I am a self-taught seamstress. I have been designing for over 5 years now. I have taught sewing lessons to students of all ages. I currently attend Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga. I have won several fashion competitions and participated in several fashion weeks. I love fashion and always enjoy seeing my students learn and grow as designers.
I taught sewing lessons from 2019-2020 to a group of girls at my church. I also attend one of the most prominent fashion schools in the country, SCAD, majoring in fashion design. I also have 5 years of sewing experience.

My first step for any student is to see where they are in their sewing skills. Once I evaluate that I will put them in either beginner, intermediate or advanced courses. Each sewing lesson will come with pdfs as well as a special gift for all first-time students.
I have worked with students from various backgrounds and skill sets.
I would advise them to get someone that is both knowledgable and patient. Learning a new skill takes time and everyone learns at different paces. The ability of an instruction to meet you where you are and advance your skill set is priceless.
I recently designed a piece for an honoree at the Essence Festival.
