About Timothy

I have been shooting various types of guns almost all my life. I grew up shooting with my father, and I've never stopped. Guns and shooting are more than a hobby to me, it's a way of life.

I always thought I would be part of the firearms industry in one way or another. I've been coaching friends and family on the range for years. I trained for my NRA certification a year or so ago, but didn't really start training professionally until last year. Once COVID-19 hit, and the number of gun owners sored, it seemed there was an instructor around every corner. I heard stories of people paying $80 and cramming into a class with 15 or 20 other students, being taught basically nothing, and then shooting an airsoft gun at a paper target on the wall, and receiving a certificate for a concealed weapons permit. That's just scary. This is exactly what pushed me to start offering classes of my own. I wanted people to get proper training, training they can feel confident in.

Working with students who struggle to hit their targets in the beginning, and are shooting bullseyes by the end of our sessions, that's what makes what I do worth it. Seeing the look on peoples faces when they make a great shot for the first time makes me feel good inside, and is only one of the other reasons I decided to teach. I watch my students technique, and help them improve one shot at a time. Not only do I help them understand what they may be doing wrong, but I also help them see what they're doing well.

I got started teaching gradually. I started with friends and family each time we would go to the range, and I decided to get certified last year so I could teach professionally.

I've been shooting different types of guns for the past 22 years. I am also an NRA certified pistol instructor.
