Ms. Shanise is interesting. She speaks really fast sometimes and she’s really funny. I like how she always asks about my emotional state before we start. Most people will tell you to leave everything at the door but she invited me to bring whatever i was feeling in and she has you sing with it. She says she does it because we are in the real world and things happens so we have to learn to roll with the punches.

Shanise offered an experience I wasn't used to. She seemed interested in me as a person and not just a student. It was really intimate and personal; you get more than what you pay for. She met with me outside of "class" and helped with my audition. No charge at all. She had me cry and sing once after we spoke about a really sad time in my life. It was a really tough. You have to be open to baring pieces of yourself with her and its not onesided at all. She'll share as much as you do. She's really wonderful.
