About Melissa
Nice to meet you! I found my passion for tutoring as a Peer Tutor while pursuing my BA in philosophy and classical humanities at Miami University. Now, I have 7+ years of experience tutoring at both university level and K-12 with a level 2 tutor certification through the College Reading & Language Association.
Through my experience, I've discovered that there is no "one size fits all" style of learning. I work hard to ensure I'm meeting every client on their level of understanding and building from there! I love using multiple methods of learning to reach a comprehensive understanding. At the end of the day, I want my clients to feel confident not only with the material, but their overall learning ability.
I am most well-versed in tutoring clients with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, but my methods work for all types of folks!

He was meticulous, organized and he didn’t make me feel silly for not understanding a concept, even after having to explain it a different way a few times. He was incredibly dedicated and used all different types of techniques to ensure I understood. I never thought I could understand math, but Micah broke it down in such an easy way. He is great for my neurodivergent ADHD mind!! Amazing!
Micah is a wonderfully patient, kind, and understanding tutor! He has helped me with Latin, Spanish, and the fundamentals of philosophy. He explains concepts very well and is great at answering questions, I recommend him wholeheartedly!
