About Federico

I was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia so Spanish is my first language. I have been studying English for 19 years and I have been a Spanish tutor for 6 years. My knowledge of Spanish is different than other natives because I have a neutral accent and therefore is better for students to learn a more standard vocabulary and pronunciation.

I really enjoy interacting with other people and helping them learn new things. I have a gift for communicating and simplifying ideas. This allows me to really break down concepts for students and guide them through the learning process. I encourage students to give me feedback so that I can adjust my teaching methods to their needs.

I've always had great communication skills and a very simple explanation approach which makes people understand the topics easily. I began by tutoring classmates in high school and then I became a Spanish tutor in Denmark during my exchange program. For the past two years, I have been a Spanish tutor in Los Angeles.

I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. I took English every year in my 12 years of schooling.

About the lesson

First, I determine the goals and level of the student. Then, I establish the tutoring approach depending on their learning preference. I always use a very personalized method to ensure a better learning process.

In the past, I have mostly focused on working with students in middle school and high school. More recently I've tutored college students ranging from freshman to senior year.

It's always important to communicate your needs so that teachers can adjust their methods to make any improvements. Also, do not feel bad about making any mistakes! That's the whole point of the learning process.

Successfully teaching with a simple process how to roll an "r" for people whose first language is English.
