About Alin
With a proven track record of guiding hundreds of students through the full college admissions process, I bring a results-driven, highly personalized approach to college preparation and academic tutoring. My experience spans comprehensive support—from early academic planning and major exploration to essay development, application strategy, and final decision guidance. I focus on honest, actionable advice that empowers students to make informed choices aligned with their strengths, goals, and long-term career aspirations.
My background in high-stakes technical sales and customer experience leadership has shaped my ability to simplify complex information, tailor communication to each individual, and coach students with clarity, structure, and confidence. Having managed large pipelines, led cross-functional collaboration, and supported clients with varying needs, I understand how to break big goals into manageable steps—a skill I apply directly to navigating admissions timelines, scholarship opportunities, and academic milestones.
Students I’ve worked with have been admitted to colleges and universities across the country, including competitive public, private, and STEM-focused institutions. I take pride in being both encouraging and direct: I celebrate strengths, identify gaps early, and provide the strategy needed to stand out in an increasingly selective admissions landscape.
Whether a student needs targeted tutoring, full-process coaching, or broad mentorship, I offer a reliable, supportive partnership that prioritizes clarity, honesty, and measurable outcomes. My goal is simple: to help every student understand their potential—and achieve it.
I started teaching during my junior year of high school—and I’ve never stopped. Education has always felt like a natural calling. Nearly ten years later, the joy of guiding, supporting, and mentoring students continues to be the reason I stay in this field.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business from Western Governors University. I have nearly a decade of tutoring, teaching, and college-prep experience, supporting hundreds of students through academic growth, standardized testing, and the full college admissions process.

I always start with a conversation. Meeting—whether in person or over video—is the best way for me to understand the student’s goals, challenges, learning style, and overall personality. From there, I build a customized plan that outlines academic support, admissions strategy, timelines, and clear next steps. Every student’s path is different, and I tailor the process accordingly.
I’ve worked with a wide spectrum of students, from high-achieving scholars (4.0+ GPAs, 1500+ SAT scores) to students who require specialized support or struggle with traditional learning. I also have experience with gifted learners, homeschooled students, and students with special needs. Every student’s path is unique, and I adjust my approach accordingly.
Ask questions—lots of them. This is your education, and you should feel empowered to advocate for your needs. Be honest about your goals, your challenges, and what you expect from a tutor or admissions coach. Clarity leads to better results.
There are too many to count. This work brings moments that are funny, moving, surprising, and deeply rewarding. Ask me in person—I love sharing those stories.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Truthfully, I don’t think students need to overthink this. Curiosity should always be encouraged. No question is too small or trivial. What matters most is open communication and a willingness to express what you need—even if you’re still figuring that out. I always champion student self-advocacy.

My pricing is flexible and depends on the level of support a family needs. I’m always open to discussing a sliding scale—every student deserves access to high-quality guidance, and I work with families of all backgrounds.
