About Sophia
Hello! I am a recent college graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Applied Ethics. I graduated college cum laude and scored a 31 on the ACT. I have over 5 years of tutoring experience and can help with a variety of subjects. I have experience with college-level science courses, and have also tutored 6th-12th grade in subjects such as Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and middle school general science and math courses.

I specialize in tutoring math and science at the high school and college level, and also have experience tutoring at the middle school level. I am available to tutor anyone who is willing to learn, and always start by learning about what the student's goals are and how they learn best. When tutoring I aim to explain concepts in a way that the student will understand, based on their individual learning style, and make sure they understand by giving them a practice problem to do independently. I also try to make my tutoring sessions fun and encourage students to have a love of learning!
