About Abhinav
I am a UCL medical student with a strong academic background in science and 2 years of tutoring experience. I have a genuine interest in helping students succeed and feel more confident in their studies.
I also feel I have a lot to offer academically, and I am confident in my ability to explain concepts clearly and help students improve. I enjoy sharing my knowledge, which is a big part of why I want to teach.
I understand how overwhelming GCSE and A Level exams can feel, and that is a key reason I want to support students. My aim is to make learning more manageable, build confidence, and help students achieve the grades they are capable of.

My teaching is clear, focused, and fully adapted to each student’s pace. I break down difficult topics in a simple way, use active recall, and practise exam-style questions so students understand how to apply knowledge effectively, not just memorise it.
Tutoring for 2 years has given me a strong understanding of current exam specifications and mark schemes. Having recently gone through these exams myself, I understand how students approach questions and where they tend to lose marks, which helps me focus my teaching on exactly what examiners reward.
Lessons are 1 HOUR 30 MINUTES long, which allows enough time to properly cover content, practise questions, and reinforce understanding. This longer format helps students consolidate learning more effectively and improve long-term retention rather than short-term memorisation, which is a common mistake that can hold students back and, when corrected, significantly improves grades.
