I’ve been taking online French lessons with François for about 18 months now, and he’s been incredibly patient with me from day one.

When I started, I could barely string a few words together. Now, our lessons are a mix of conversation and structured learning. Sometimes, we spend the first 30 minutes chatting in French before moving on to the lesson, and other times, we’ll chat in French for the whole hour.

His lessons are always well-organised, but what I really love is the flexibility—if an interesting topic comes up, we can go off-script and adapt the session as we go. He also gives me homework before each class, which helps keep me on track.

François has encouraged me to try and immerse myself in the language, whether it’s by watching French TV shows and news, checking out movies at the Sydney French Film Festival, or chatting with local French speakers. It’s boosted my confidence, verbal and listening skills, and vocabulary.

Francois is an excellent on-line French teacher. He is very patient, always cheerful and positive. He provides detailed notes on each aspect and if there is anything unclear he takes care to provide extra information. I look forward to my lessons with him.
