About Eman
I’m a visual artist and photographer with over ten years of experience, known for creating work that moves between documentary and fine art. My photographs have been shown internationally at major art fairs, are held in both private and public collections, and have been featured in publications such as AnOther, BMW, CNN, GUP, Domus, Kinfolk, Der Grief, and Booooooom to name a few.
My work has received international recognition, including the Female in Focus Award for a single image, as well as shortlist nominations for the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize and the European Photo Award.
Teaching is an extension of my practice. Over the years, I’ve taught both in-person and online, helping students at different stages of their journey - whether they’re just picking up a camera or refining their personal voice as photographers.

This course is for both beginners just starting out and intermediate photographers who already know the basics and want to develop their creative vision. My approach to photography is rooted in storytelling, with a focus on using light to create emotion, mood, and texture in images.
In our lessons, we’ll work on developing your personal visual language and refining your editing skills so you can tell stronger stories through your photographs. Together, we’ll look at your portfolio and explore:
Personal style and direction
Self-expression
Sources of inspiration
Creative ideas and approaches
Shooting techniques
Editing workflows
Presenting your work
Each lesson includes looking closely at one of your favorite images. We’ll practice “reading” the photo—understanding the story it tells, its emotional impact, and why it resonates with you. To build on this, I’ll give you practical assignments so you can apply what you’ve learned.
To get started, I offer a free 30-minute chat. This gives us a chance to get to know each other, talk through the course outline, and answer any questions you may have.
