About Aishwariya
I am a qualified (PGCE with QTS) Secondary Science Teacher. I am experienced with teaching KS3, GCSE & IB MYP Science (Biology, Chemistry & Physics), alongside A-Level and IB Diploma Biology — helping students build confidence, deepen understanding, and develop a genuine love for science. I have taught in various schools across the United Kingdom, utilising positive reinforcement strategies to help students reach their full potential.
With expertise in implementing diverse learning strategies tailored to individual student needs, I am committed to making Biology engaging and accessible. My background spans teaching, SEND Specialisation, Patent Analysis, and Research Engineering, equipping me with a wealth of skills to support you.
I am eager to apply my experience in Science, Engineering, and Education to inspire students through dynamic, thought-provoking lessons that bring science to life. I’ve been working as a teacher for the past five years, during which I’ve gained valuable experience helping students understand new concepts and build confidence in their learning. Over the last year, I’ve also been tutoring students more individually, which has allowed me to focus closely on each student’s specific needs and learning style. This combination of classroom teaching and one-to-one tutoring has helped me develop flexible strategies to support different learners and ensure they make steady progress.

A typical lesson with me is structured but flexible so it fits the student’s needs and pace. We usually begin with a short review or warm-up to check understanding of the previous topic, followed by a clear explanation of the new concept using simple examples. After that, the student works through guided practice questions while I provide hints and feedback to build confidence and correct mistakes early. As the lesson progresses, we move to more independent practice or problem-solving activities to strengthen understanding. I tailor each lesson by adjusting the difficulty, examples, and pace based on the student’s strengths, learning style, and areas they find challenging, ensuring the session stays engaging and effective. My teaching style as an online tutor is structured but interactive. I like to clearly explain concepts step-by-step while also encouraging students to ask questions and participate in the lesson. I use examples, practice problems, and real-life connections to make topics easier to understand. This approach helps students stay engaged, build confidence, and develop a deeper understanding of the material rather than just memorising it.
