I have over 10 years of experience teaching Biology, and with an MSc in Bioinformatics, I bring a deeply interdisciplinary approach to forensic biology and DNA forensics. I guide students through the core techniques of DNA profiling, PCR, and trace evidence analysis in a clear and practical way. My lessons focus on how these tools are used in real crime scene investigations. I regularly use simulated crime scenarios to help students apply scientific concepts to realistic forensic challenges. We practise essential laboratory protocols, from DNA extraction to interpreting electrophoresis results. I also highlight the ethical considerations that shape modern forensic science, ensuring students understand both the power and responsibility behind these methods. I work closely with students aiming for careers in forensic science, law enforcement, and criminal justice, helping them build confidence and technical skill. Some come with a passion for investigation, others with curiosity about how biology reveals hidden truths. All leave with a deeper appreciation for the science behind solving complex cases.
