About Ishira
In my Chemistry lessons, we take a calm and reflective approach to understanding the deep principles that govern matter. I focus on the mathematical foundations that underpin chemical behavior, helping students see how equations describe the movement, energy, and interaction of particles. Together, we explore physical chemistry, quantum mechanics, chemical thermodynamics, and statistical mechanics, uncovering the laws that shape reactions and properties. I guide students step by step, making complex concepts approachable without oversimplifying. We examine how energy, probability, and molecular structure influence chemical systems, building a clear and logical understanding. My goal is to help learners not just memorize formulas, but truly grasp the “why” behind them. These lessons are ideal for those interested in spectroscopy, chemical analysis, or understanding toxic substances at a fundamental level. I support students in developing their own perspective, enabling them to approach complex theories with confidence. We discuss practical examples and thought experiments to make abstract ideas tangible. By connecting theory with observation, students begin to see chemistry as a coherent, elegant science. My lessons encourage curiosity, reflection, and a deeper engagement with the subject. Together, we explore chemistry’s core principles, fostering both understanding and intellectual confidence.

I’m a Chemistry tutor with over 5 years of experience and an MSc in Environmental Chemistry. I take a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to teaching, helping students connect theory with practical applications. My focus lies in electroplating and surface finishing chemistry, where chemistry meets engineering to create functional and beautiful materials.
In my lessons, we explore electrochemical deposition in detail, studying how electrode kinetics and bath composition influence the quality and properties of coatings. I guide students in understanding how different metals and solutions interact, and how these interactions affect both performance and appearance. We discuss coatings not just for aesthetics, but for protection, durability, and industrial relevance.
I enjoy working with students interested in materials engineering, manufacturing, and applied chemistry, tailoring lessons to their career goals and curiosity. Each session combines theory, calculations, and real-world examples to make complex concepts accessible. My goal is to help students gain confidence in both understanding and applying chemistry in practical settings.
I believe chemistry has the power to transform surfaces, enhance materials, and create lasting solutions. Through my guidance, students learn to harness this power, turning ideas into durable, functional, and innovative materials.
