About Zach
I am a dedicated computer programming tutor with over 6 years of teaching experience, working with students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Over the years, I have successfully guided around 150 students in building strong programming skills and confidence in coding.
My teaching philosophy is based on clarity, patience, and problem-solving. I believe programming should be easy to understand when taught step by step, using simple examples and real-world logic. I focus on building a strong foundation in core programming concepts, helping students understand not just how code works, but why it works. I encourage students to ask questions freely and learn at their own pace in a positive and supportive environment.
I help students with exam preparation, assignments, and practical coding tasks, and I also support learners who want to improve their job-ready skills. Many of my students have shown clear improvement in grades, coding confidence, and logical thinking. My goal is to make programming less intimidating and more enjoyable, while helping students become independent and confident problem solvers.

My teaching approach in computer programming is practical, student-friendly, and focused on building strong fundamentals with confidence. I believe every student can learn coding with the right guidance, so I teach with positivity and patience, creating a comfortable space where questions are always welcome.
I start by explaining core programming concepts in simple language, using real-life examples and step-by-step logic. In Java, I cover topics such as basic syntax, data types, operators, control statements, object-oriented programming (OOP), classes and objects, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction, interfaces, exception handling, collections, file handling, multithreading, and basic JDBC concepts. Along with Java, I also introduce problem-solving techniques, algorithms, debugging skills, and clean coding practices that are useful across all programming languages.
My sessions focus on hands-on practice, regular coding exercises, and small projects to help students apply what they learn. I guide students through exam preparation, assignments, and interview-oriented questions, while also helping them understand how programming is used in real jobs. I adapt my teaching speed to each learner and revisit topics until they feel confident. My goal is not just to teach code, but to help students think like programmers and solve problems independently.
