About Lanje
Hello! My name is Lanje, and I am passionate about helping young learners grow in confidence and enjoy learning Afrikaans. I work closely with Foundation Phase learners and understand how important patience, encouragement and fun learning experiences are at this age.
I love teaching because I enjoy seeing children improve, become proud of themselves and realize that they are capable of success. I believe every child can learn when they feel supported and understood. My goal is to create lessons where learners feel comfortable, motivated and excited to participate.
I am especially passionate about building strong foundations in reading, writing and speaking Afrikaans, because these skills help children succeed in all areas of learning. Teaching allows me to make a positive difference in children’s lives while helping them develop confidence that will stay with them for years to come.

My Afrikaans lessons are fun, patient and designed especially for Foundation Phase learners. I create a safe and encouraging environment where children feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes and grow. Every lesson is interactive and age-appropriate, using games, stories, visuals and practical activities to keep young learners engaged and excited to learn.
I understand that every child learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each learner’s pace and needs. Whether your child needs help with reading, writing, speaking, spelling or comprehension, I focus on building strong foundations while making learning enjoyable.
My goal is not only to improve marks, but also to help children develop confidence, independence and a love for Afrikaans. Parents can expect supportive communication, positive encouragement and lessons that are both educational and motivating.
