Perfect! Fantastic Maths Tutor
My child is preparing for maths GCSE this year and wanted more exam practice, epsecially with upcoming mock exams. Alastair has been very helpful in eliciting gaps in knowledge and focussing on these. He takes time outside of the lesson to mark any completed work we send him and sends helpful targeted exercises or exam papers to practice for homework. He is very clear, knowledgeable, friendly and patient and my child is finding the lessons very helpful. There are numerous maths tutors available these days which I found confusing, but when seeking a tutor, I felt it was important to work with someone who is actually an experienced maths teacher and has taught in schools rather than someone who may not have teaching experience or teaching qualifications. I think we made the right choice as it is quite obvious that Alastair is familiar with the different exams and syllabus. He has a lovely teaching style and is great at making new concepts understandable at whatever pace my child requires. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.
