About Lewis
Hello! My name is Lewis. I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sheffield. This means I am constantly working with many core principles in maths and physics which I hope to teach my students. These subjects excite me because it creates the foundations to research some exciting real-world applications, such as cars and rockets .
I have previous experience with online tutoring, where I have successfully supported students to strive above and beyond to smash their predicted grades. This includes KS3, GCSE and A-Level Maths & Physics, for both AQA and Edexcel exam boards.

My efficient and methodical approach to solving problems is key for me, supporting pupils with their understanding in a fun and engaging way, whilst tailoring to specific needs and styles. A typical lesson would involve a proven working structure for me and previous students, focusing on the students weaknesses and past-paper example questions. A lesson is likely to be structured in the following way:
Warm-up: A quick refresh on past topics to build confidence (10m)
The Concept: A clear explanation of today’s topic (10m)
Walkthrough: I guide you through worked examples (10m)
Practice: You tackle exam-style questions of increasing difficulty with my support (25m)
