About Transforms Into
I have a Master's Degree in guitar performance and a Bachelor's Degree in music, as well as a diploma in contemporary and popular music. I've been teaching since the 90s and I've worked with all ages, all abilities, and all levels. One thing I've discovered during my PhD research is that hardly any musicians know anything about the human body - you know, that thing that's actually doing all the hard work to make the instrument sing. This includes those who teach! This means most people are fighting against tension and bad habits all the time. I've actually taken the time to discover how to make playing more natural so the music can flow better.
I've done a lot of performance on guitar and bass guitar in bands, as well as solo concerts as a classical guitarist, but now I work as a saxophonist. Yeah, weird how life goes sometimes, right? But I still love teaching guitar, so I keep doing it!

My PhD research into how the body works means I can teach you how to play in the most relaxed way. This means you can feel less like you're wrestling with the guitar and feel more like you're expressing yourself!
This is an important thing for novices to learn so they start on the path with good habits. However, if you're a seasoned veteran, I can still show you how to free up your playing.
If you want to understand how music is created, I can teach you music theory, as I have developed a logical order that builds on what came before.
Lessons are normally half an hour (30 minutes), because they are rather intensive. Some people benefit from longer lessons, but I won't do the hard sell just to get more money from you.
