About Christopher
Having taught hundreds of students, I am empathetic of the struggles children in grades two through eight face in math. I enjoy working with each individual student's interests to create lessons that are fun and memorable. As a former children's theater director and current writer of children's books, I inject my lessons with humor, hype, and a bit of effective drama.

I help students build proficiency by focusing on problem solving, concept building, and skill practice. A typical math lesson will frequently begin with a high-interest story problem or math puzzle. The student would be shown a possible solution involving a new concept or strategy. After reviewing necessary skills, the student would then solve similar problems using the new concept or strategy.
