About Ewan
I am an experienced Microsoft Excel tutor with 4 years of teaching experience and a strong passion for helping students build practical digital skills. Over the years, I have successfully taught around 150 to 200 students from different learning levels and backgrounds. My goal is to make Excel easy to understand and useful for real academic and professional tasks.
My teaching philosophy is based on clarity, patience, and practice. I believe students learn best when they understand the purpose behind every tool they use. In my lessons, I explain concepts step by step and then guide students through hands-on exercises so they can apply what they learn immediately.
I teach Excel to beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced users. Students learn important topics such as formulas, functions, charts, data organization, PivotTables, and basic data analysis. I also help learners use Excel together with PowerPoint and Word for reports, presentations, and note preparation.
Many of my students come to me for help with assignments, project work, and improving their job-related skills. I focus on building confidence so they can work with spreadsheets independently. My lessons are friendly, structured, and easy to follow.
Seeing students improve their skills and achieve their academic or career goals is my biggest achievement. I am committed to creating a supportive learning environment where every student can progress and succeed.

My teaching approach for Microsoft Excel is practical, clear, and focused on real results. I believe students learn best by doing, so my lessons include step by step demonstrations followed by hands on practice. I explain each concept in simple language so learners can understand both how a feature works and why it is useful.
I teach important Excel topics such as data entry and formatting, formulas and functions, charts and graphs, sorting and filtering, conditional formatting, and data analysis. Students also learn useful tools like PivotTables, data validation, lookup functions, dashboards, and basic automation features. I guide learners through working with real datasets so they can see how Excel is used in studies, offices, and business tasks.
My tutoring style is flexible and adaptable because every student learns at a different pace. I adjust lessons based on the student’s goals whether they need help with assignments, presentations, reports, or job related skills. Clear communication is very important in my sessions, and I encourage students to ask questions and explore different solutions.
I focus on building strong confidence with spreadsheets. Students practice organizing data, creating professional reports, preparing notes and presentations, and improving productivity using Excel along with PowerPoint and Word when needed.
I always maintain a positive learning environment where mistakes are part of the learning process. With honesty, support, and consistent feedback, I help students improve their Excel skills step by step and become comfortable using spreadsheets for academic and professional work.
