About Maurice Samuel
I have been teaching individuals and small groups for over 30 years in a wide variety of subjects and a wide variety of settings. My youngest students have been in Kindergarten or 1st grade and I have also taught people in retirement, and almost all ages in between.
I am friendly and approachable, but also demand that my students exert themselves to master the material they wish (or need) to study. I strongly believe that we earn our learning results by applying ourselves and help my students become more efficient in their learning by sharing my knowledge of how the human brain can best retain ideas and information. Having said that, I also teach each student differently as I customize my approach for their individual learning style.

I have a general background in the sciences and economics with more specific expertise in teaching reading, writing and math, as well as Latin and Hebrew. I have a Master's Degree and Teaching Certificate in Special Education, and I use the deep understanding I have gained about human learning to help all my students improve their study skills and enjoyment of their studies.
