About Lumi
With more than 8 years of experience, I am a dedicated Flute tutor teaching School, College, and working professional students in a supportive and positive learning environment. My tutoring style is student-centred and well-organised, with focus on breath control, posture alignment, finger accuracy, tone quality, rhythm control, and musical expression.
I also teach music theory, notation reading, sight reading, rhythm exercises, scale practice, and ear training to strengthen musical understanding. I guide students through exam preparation and help them develop confidence in performance. My goal is to help students grow steadily and enjoy their flute learning journey.

My teaching approach for flute is based on communication, creativity, and flexible learning to help students progress with confidence and enjoyment. I explain flute techniques clearly and encourage students to ask questions and interact freely during lessons.
Creative warm-ups, musical exercises, and expressive playing activities make learning fun and engaging. Lesson plans are adapted to each student’s progress, learning needs, and goals. I focus on developing strong fundamentals while encouraging musical expression and confidence.
Flute lessons include breathing techniques, posture, embouchure, finger coordination, articulation, scales, rhythm, and sight reading. In addition to flute, I teach supporting subjects such as music theory, note reading, rhythm training, ear training, and performance skills to help students become well-rounded musicians.
