About Ayla
I have 6 years of teaching experience and hold a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance. My academic studies provided advanced training in technique, musical interpretation, and ensemble collaboration. Through teaching, I have learned how to explain complex musical ideas in a simple and practical way. I adjust my lessons according to each student’s pace and learning style to ensure steady improvement.
I have worked with beginners starting from basic note reading as well as intermediate students preparing for examinations and performances. I strongly believe that consistent practice and structured guidance are key to long-term success. My teaching style is organised, patient, and supportive, helping students feel confident while developing discipline.
Music has the power to build both skill and personal confidence. Watching students progress from simple exercises to expressive performances is deeply rewarding. I remain dedicated to guiding each learner with clarity, encouragement, and commitment.

My piano lessons are carefully organised to develop strong technical foundations while encouraging expressive and thoughtful performance. I begin by checking posture, bench position, and hand alignment to ensure that students feel comfortable and relaxed at the instrument. Early exercises focus on finger independence, even touch, and steady rhythm control. Scales and simple technical drills are practised slowly and carefully so students understand how proper hand movement improves tone quality and accuracy. I explain each concept in clear language so learners know why every exercise is important.
As students improve, we introduce arpeggios, chord voicing, dynamic contrast, and pedal control. I guide learners through detailed score reading so they understand phrasing, articulation, and musical structure. Repertoire is selected according to ability level and personal interest, ensuring a balance between challenge and confidence. Sight reading practice is included regularly to strengthen adaptability and note recognition skills. We also work on memorisation strategies to build performance security.
Performance preparation is an essential part of my teaching. Students practise complete pieces while focusing on expression, timing stability, and stage presence. We discuss concentration techniques to manage nervousness and maintain focus during recitals. Over time, learners develop stronger coordination, clearer tonal balance, and deeper musical understanding. My goal is to guide each student towards confident and expressive piano performance.
