About Ivy
Hi! My name is Ivy! I am an undergraduate student at Lancaster university, currently studying Chinese and Linguistics with a minor in Gender Studies. I am a student who used to struggle with maths at school, until my tutor took the time to explain it in a way that I could understand. Since then it became one of my best subjects and I want to help others discover how fun maths can be! I love helping students learn by making what seems like an impossible mountain into a climbable hill, simply by taking the time to teach based on the student‘s learning style.

I am offering tutoring lessons for students ages 8-14 in maths. I studied maths for both my equivalents to the GCSEs and the baccalaureate (similar to a-levels). My lessons tend to be 1h long, though if necessary can be longer or shorter as needed. They are also tailored to the needs of the student, covering anything they feel they need support in: from understanding coursework to doing homework to revising for tests. I have a patient and encouraging teaching style, working especially well with younger students. I have had 2 years of past experience teaching 11-15 year olds various topics and especially maths. I look forward to hearing from you!
