About Gina
I’m Gina, and my background is in Early Childhood Studies and family support. I spent several years working directly with children, parents and families as a Family Support Worker, supporting families through many of the everyday challenges that can come with parenting.
Throughout my experience, I’ve supported parents with areas such as routines and boundaries, challenging behaviour, emotional wellbeing, parent-child relationships, communication, confidence and helping families find practical strategies that work within their individual circumstances.
One of the things I enjoyed most about family support was having the opportunity to sit down with a parent, really listen to what was happening at home and work alongside them rather than simply telling them what they “should” be doing.
This is why I want to continue offering family support independently. Parenting can be overwhelming, and there is so much pressure on parents to get everything right. Sometimes what you really need is a non-judgemental person to talk things through with, help you look at the situation differently and find realistic strategies to try.
As a mum myself, I also understand that parenting advice needs to work in real life. Families are balancing work, school, childcare, household responsibilities, relationships and their own wellbeing, so my approach is practical, supportive and realistic.
My aim is to create a space where parents feel comfortable being honest about what they are struggling with, without embarrassment or judgement.
I want parents to leave our sessions feeling listened to, more confident and, most importantly, with practical ideas they can begin using within their family.

Are you feeling overwhelmed with parenting, struggling with routines or behaviour, or simply looking for someone to help you work through what is happening at home without judgement?
I offer friendly, practical 1-to-1 family support for parents who would like guidance, encouragement and realistic strategies they can actually use in everyday family life.
I have a background in Early Childhood Studies and several years of professional experience working directly with children, parents and families as a Family Support Worker.
My approach is warm, non-judgemental and practical. I understand that every family is different, so our sessions will focus on what is happening in your home rather than giving you a list of unrealistic parenting rules.
I can support you with:
• Challenging behaviour and understanding what may be behind it
• Tantrums, big feelings and emotional regulation
• Getting children to listen without constantly shouting
• Creating realistic morning, bedtime and homework routines
• Setting boundaries, house rules and consequences
• Positive praise and encouragement
• Parent-child communication
• Building confidence in your parenting
• Parental overwhelm, guilt and emotional wellbeing
• Finding time for yourself and reconnecting with who you are outside of parenting
• Working through a specific parenting situation or family challenge
What happens during a session?
Our first session is about understanding you, your child and your family.
We'll talk about what is currently happening, what you've already tried, what is and isn't working, and what you would like to change.
Rather than trying to change everything at once, we'll identify a few manageable strategies for you to try at home.
Future sessions can then be used to review what happened, adapt the strategies and gradually build on your progress.
There is no expectation of perfect parenting here.
Sometimes parents simply need a safe space to talk, organise their thoughts and work out what to try next.
Who is this for?
My support may be particularly useful for parents of babies, toddlers and primary-school-aged children, as well as parents who are feeling overwhelmed or lacking confidence.
Sessions can be booked individually, so you don't have to commit to a long programme.
Online sessions are available.
