About Jonny
I have been playing chess for over 20 years and teaching since I was 15. My father is the coach of the England National team and has taught me how to play and train at the highest level!
I have won British and London Junior championships as well as representing England in several elite junior competitions.
I am a FIde and National master player with a track record of success for my pupils!
What makes me unique as a chess coach is the energy and experience I can provide, despite being only 25years old I have 10 years of teaching both privately and in groups. I have found being a young chess coach has helped me connect far better with my pupils and help them progress as much and as quickly as possible!

I teach chess to all ages and levels :)
With tried and tested exercises I can work out the key areas of improvement and create a bespoke training plan. We will cover all the fundamentals as well as creating a robust and easy to learn opening repertoire to give you a good standing in every game and trick your opponents!
My pupils have won : Irish u16&18 championships, World u17 championships, British U10 + U11 championships, numerous England team representatives as well as countless school champions.
In addition to teaching chess full time I own the only chess shop in London and can recommend all the best materials to help you reach your full chess potential!
