About Kari
No one should ever feel overwhelmed by learning. Everyone can learn, and it is simply unlocking the way that each child learns best. We don't say "I can't," we say, "It's difficult, but I can do hard things!" I have over fifteen years of classroom experience. I have worked with students in second through fifth grades, as well as in the gifted and talented education. I love teaching students who may think differently than others... because I think differently than others, too! I have been chosen as Teacher of the Year for my school building twice. I am also on my school's leadership team, and I have helped develop state curriculum and assessments. I am passionate about helping others succeed, and I will dedicate myself to a task until the goal has been met. I feel extremely confident that I can help and instruct your child with demonstrable results. I love finding new and unique ways of teaching, staying current with the newest education trends and findings. I am excited to get to know your child and help him or her enjoy learning and move towards success!

I hope to facilitate joy in learning math and science. As a tutor, I promise to bring expertise and fun into my lessons. I try to create a rapport with students quickly, engaging my kiddos with ways to relate their learning to their own lives. I also love "gamifying" lessons as much as possible. Kids learn best when they can make connections! As a teacher with fifteen years of experience, I can quickly form learning plans while understanding the scope and sequence of your child's learning. I promise to provide rigorous instruction while motivating and inspiring your child. I am most adept with intermediate elementary students (3-5).
