About Yasmin
Hello and welcome! My name is Yasmin Sarghini, and I am excited to support you on your educational journey. With a background in film, media, and creative learning, I currently work as a Teaching Assistant at John Betts Primary School, where I assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and provide tailored support to students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). I’m passionate about creating inclusive, interactive, and dynamic learning environments that empower students to reach their full potential. In addition to my work in education, I hold a BA (Hons) in Digital Film Production from Middlesex University, where I focused on media, content creation, and engagement through visual storytelling. I am also currently pursuing further certification as a Teaching Assistant and have qualifications in PEG feeding to support students with diverse needs. Whether it's through creating engaging lesson plans, offering one-on-one support, or applying creative media strategies to teaching, I am dedicated to fostering student success in every aspect. As a tutor, I create a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student's individual needs. My teaching methodology involves interactive discussions and well-structured lesson plans. Techniques & Teaching Methodology: Student-Centred Approach – I assess the student's learning style and adapt my teaching methods accordingly. Structured Lessons – I break down complex concepts into manageable steps and use visual aids, examples, and interactive exercises. Active Engagement – I encourage students to ask questions, apply their knowledge in practice exercises, and develop problem-solving skills. Exam & Study Strategies – For students preparing for exams, I provide revision techniques, past paper practice, and time management strategies. Lesson Length: A typical session lasts 60 minutes, but I can adjust based on the student’s needs. Shorter sessions (30–45 minutes) may be more effective for younger learners, while older students may benefit from longer sessions (90 minutes for in-depth topics or exam preparation). Qualifications & Experience: Teaching Assistant at John Betts Primary School, supporting students of various learning abilities, including SEN students. BA (Hons) in Digital Film Production, which enhances my ability to incorporate creative and visual learning techniques into my tutoring.
