About Freda
I am a Theatrical Film Designer, arts workshop manager, costume designer and technician. My experience includes designing for the ABC, including Playschool, Art directing Hi-5, managing prop departments that include the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Ceremony and designing for Australian tv commercials. I have created sets and costumes to compliment scripts for Film, Television, Dramatic plays, Opera and contemporary dance.
I have taught film production design and costume design, costume illustration, fashion history, costuming for theatre, wearable art and scenic painting.
I am a graduate of the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, in Design for Performance.
I Lecture and tutor at various tertiary institutions that include the Victorian College of the Arts and the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts. I have been tutoring for 12 years and enjoy working with and inspiring young people.
