About Cary
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Studio, with an emphasis in film and digital photography. I’ve been shooting still images and video for over 40 years. I run my own videography business and teach cinematography at a local community college.
I believe very strongly in understanding not just the technical processes involved in image-making, but also the creative drive behind those processes, again, the “why” behind the “how”.

Structured lessons with the right mix of theory and hands-on, guided demos. I emphasize the “why” as much as the “how”.
Photography and cinematography are very rich, layered topics with a beguiling mix of technical and creative interdependencies, and as the tools become more available and cost-effective, it becomes necessary for individuals to have at least a high-level understanding of all the components involved.
I can guide you to a broad and deep understanding of the process and philosophy of still and motion image making.
