About Samuel
My name is Samuel Thomson. I am from the French speaking side of Switzerland. I spent my first 18 years living there and interacting in french. I am fluent in English, French and German (currently learning Italian).
I went through a strict school system learning the complicated grammar, conjugation and other rules french has.
Through my lessons, I try to keep a fun working environment. I believe in motivating people to learn new languages especially as I have noticed few people from the U.K. learn a new language.
Travelling and learning new language hands on is the best approach, as I learnt when I lived in Germany for a bit to learn the language. I know the pain and hardship of learning a new language, as I also know how rewarding it is to be able to speak a foreign language:)

- Practise talking with the student, let them speak and make mistakes, then correct them (15min)
- Go through an aspect of grammar, verbs, conjugation etc (15min)
- Make them use the learnt grammar in writing exercises (15min)
- Finish off with more conversation directed by myself on what has been learnt in the lesson
I have given many lessons to children, young adults through my years at university, (one on ones, small groups and larger groups)
My lessons are for all ages anyone wanting to learn or improve their french.
Note : My lessons are not directed to students who already speak french fluently and want to improve on small aspects of their language use
