About Holly
I’m a final-year Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Sheffield, back after spending a year working on real engineering projects as an intern at Airbus.
Honestly, STEM didn’t always come naturally to me. I got into university through a Foundation Year, which meant I had to re-learn a lot of science and maths from scratch. Because of that, I know what it feels like to sit in class feeling completely lost when everyone else seems to get it. However, I now feel much more confident and am able to explain things in a variety of ways!
That journey made me a much better tutor. I know how to explain things without the overly complicated jargon, and I love helping students who might be struggling or just need that extra bit of encouragement to see that they're actually capable of doing really well in STEM. Outside of uni and engineering, I’m just looking to share what I’ve learned and help out local pupils while putting my degree to good use!

I completely adapt my lessons to what works best for your child, keeping things relaxed, encouraging, and clear. Having started my degree through a STEM foundation year, I remember how frustrating it can be when a teacher explains a concept in a way that just doesn't click.
My approach isn't about memorising formulae or doing boring repetition. We take tricky GCSE and Key Stage 3 Maths topics—whether that's algebra, trigonometry, or equations—and break them down step by step. Because I'm studying Aerospace Engineering and worked at Airbus, I love showing students why what they're learning actually matters in the real world.
Whether your child needs help catching up, preparing for GCSE exams, or just needs a boost in confidence, we’ll work at their pace with zero pressure!
Every session is tailored to the student's specific exam board (AQA, Edexcel, OCR) with a heavy focus on past paper techniques, problem-solving skills, and step-by-step guidance- as I myself used these techniques during my exams!
