About Elaine
I am someone who has learnt the importance of having the right foundations and attitude into learning something. I believe every student should have the confidence to approach tasks outside of their initial confidence, allowing them to progress in other areas in their lives. I believe with the right support given, they can build their confidence and achieve greatly. I also see the importance of consistency and having a nurturing environment to help in lacking areas. Just wanted to note - maths is actually alright! Once someone spends time with you and is patient, you will realise that it's not as tiresome or scary as you think.

I break down the concepts of maths, apply it to real world settings
Give easy example questions for students to digest. Then progress to harder questions, and then provide exam (foundation and/or higher) style questions.
Typical length of a lesson: 1 hour
Will provide homework, which would be exam style questions and a recap of what was taught in the lesson.
The lessons will be for ages 4-18, and will be tailored accordingly to age and current ability.
