About Jessica
I am a final year English student at the University of Oxford. I have volunteered in schools for a number of years and am a registered tutor on the MyTutor platform with experience in a variety of schools and teaching styles. I have a keen interest in the philosophy of literature and the cultural history unlocked by studying literature - I always look forward to sharing these passions with new students.

I have been exposed to (either taught or implemented) a variety of teaching styles and so am well equipped to adapt to each individual student's needs. My main goal is for each of my students to become engaged and interested in the subject because I believe you are far more likely to be successful in a subject you enjoy. English is not just about reading! I am passionate about making my lessons interactive and encouraging students to realise the transferable skills this subject helps develop.
