About Tomi
Outside of tutoring and medicine, I enjoy reading, going to the gym, and crocheting—which keeps me creative and patient, qualities I bring into my teaching too! I enjoy teaching because I find it incredibly rewarding to help others understand something they once found difficult. Seeing a student go from confusion to confidence is one of the best feelings. I love breaking down complex topics into simple ideas, especially when it clicks for someone who thought they “just weren’t good at it.”

My teaching style is student-focused, supportive, and structured. I aim to make each lesson clear, engaging, and tailored to the student’s needs. I break down complex topics into simple, manageable steps and use a mix of explanations, guided practice, and active recall techniques to reinforce learning. I regularly use past paper questions, visual aids, and real-world examples to build understanding and exam confidence. I also encourage students to ask questions freely and reflect on their progress. Most of my lessons are 60 minutes long, which allows enough time to cover key topics in depth, practise together, and set goals for independent revision. My lessons are suitable for: • KS2 students preparing for SATs • GCSE students aiming to improve understanding or exam performance • Students aged 10–16, including those needing general support, exam prep, or targeted help in specific topics All lessons are delivered online, with flexible scheduling to suit each family’s routine.
