About Bryher
Hello :) My name is Bryher and I am currently working towards a biomedical degree. Going to university I imagined I’d go into a lab once I graduated but being a student has made me realise if I’m not sure what I want to do, that’s okay. My current plan is to complete my teaching award and become a secondary school teacher of science or a school science technician, as I am happiest when in the labs. I like to teach and engage my students by making you smile and laugh. Whether it’s my very bad drawing of a sheep when explaining food chains or explaining how a circuit works by talking about people collecting logs around a campfire. I like to make things simple and fun, and will always try to help you relax and enjoy the sessions too.

Whether you are a visual learner or prefer heavy notes - I can accommodate a whole spectrum. In every session I will welcome you with a starter activity either reflecting on a previous session or to test what you know about today’s topic. Every session will be student-led learning, with the opportunity to use whiteboards and share your understanding, which allows me to guide any misconceptions or areas lacking detail. To end the session we will review exam questions from the exam boards. Some sessions will encourage you to do some simple thinking before attending, which can range from familiarising with sections of the spec or looking at a diagram to learn terms. However, my sessions will always be adaptable to your pace and needs, which allows for no pressure or stress if you ever don’t understand.
