About Emelia
My name is Emelia and I’m a final year student at the University of Bath. I study Politics and International Relations but a real passion of mine is English, and it started at school. I love reading and one day I would like to become a published author.
I understand how tough English can be at secondary school, particularly GCSE and A-Level: it wasn’t long ago that I was sitting these exams myself! There can be a lot of hoops to jump through and sometimes the texts can be hard to understand. I want to be able to help students prepare for their exams without turning them off English for life!
I also want to provide somewhere that students can ask questions without feeling embarrassed: as far as I’m concerned there are no silly questions. I am really excited to get to know you!

Lessons can take any shape or form that the student prefers: this is all about you, not me. I can help at all levels and we can go as in detail or keep it as general as you like.
If we’re looking at GCSE and A-Level topics we’ll go through past-papers and exam techniques so you can get a feel for the style of the paper in your own time at your own pace.
Alternatively, you can send me a list of things you’d like to work on and we can tackle each topic week by week together, no matter what level you’re working at.
