About Tareq
I am an Undergraduate Biochemistry student at the University of Alberta. I have 2 years of experience tutoring high school students, and 4 years of tutoring middle school and elementary school students in the GCE and IGCSE curriculum and I am looking to further my experience in tutoring in the provicial curriculum. I have thorough knowledge of Math and Science subjects, as proven by my high school grades (A+'s in Math and Chemistry, A's in Biology and Physics) and middle school grades (A+'s in all subjects).

For math, I prefer to teach algebra and statistics by showing my students convenient techniques and allowing them to practice in order for them to thoroughly grasp the concepts. With regards to trigonometry and geometry, I like to use visual models as I find them to be most efficient way for students to learn these concepts. In terms of chemistry and biology, I like to give my students tips and tricks on how to easily memorise and understand the concepts and I like to frequently ask questions regarding the "next step" in order to increase critical thinking.
