About Darnella
I have been a tutor for ten plus years in New York. Myself and the tutee set a goal that they will earn A's and B's. I understand that no one is perfect so I allow one "C". The tutee will learn from mistakes and thereby correct their mistakes. I have tutored math to all age groups and I tutor Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, Computer Math, Nursing Math, and Pre Calculus to name a few. One of my jobs was tutoring a college student in Statistics via Zoom. The tutee was an accessibility student. I tutored the tutee by going at their speed. Our goal was set. We tutored many days and the tutee passed the class with "A". I asked the tutee to apply my tutoring process to all their courses and she got all A's and one B. This was during the Pandemic. The tutee worked hard not to get "C". I believe for tutees and tutor, where there is a will there's a way. "Math is money and Money is Math". We deal with it every day and you cannot get away from it, it is in all courses, subjects in life. To do math you must Read the question/equation, Write the question/equation down and use critical thinking to troubleshoot/solve the problem. Do these processes with me and "Math will be fun and easier to understand". I can obtain this 1 on 1 or small groups, Remotely. Tutees should know that I only want the best for them by helping them troubleshoot their Math problems. Tutoring with me students see that I wear many hats to get them to their goal. If the tutee is serious about accomplishment that makes me proud of them. I tutored a 75-year-old lady, who spoke little English and more Chinese. I was able to help her pass her math and she used my tutoring method for other classes and obtained A's and B's. She was honored at her graduation. Getting over math fear/block can be done.

Please have all materials on hand: * Come to the sessions with a positive attitude * On the first session We meet and greet let's us get to know one another, how the process will be * A notebook you would be using for tutoring only * A folder for any reference papers I may send you * A calculator if doing classes - Statistics or Pre Calculus * Phone to take screenshots of work * In case of technological problems be patient go out and come back in Remember no one is perfect and I will work with you to the best of my ability.
