About Will
Having grown up with two parents as teachers, I have had inculcated in me since a young age the power of education. Such a belief in the importance of education has only been reaffirmed by my own experiences. Having won a transformative academic scholarship at the age of 8 years old, and subsequently securing a place at The University of Oxford, I have experienced firsthand the immeasurable benefits that a rich and engaging education provide. At school, I obtained ten 9s in my GCSEs and four A*s at A-level. At university, I have consistently achieved first-class marks and am scholarship recipient and winner of multiple academic prizes. I have spent the last four years tutoring students across a broad range of ages and abilities, fuelled by the central aim of helping others unlock the power of learning. Not only do I help my students improve their grades, but I also try to instil in them a curiosity and drive that outlives any qualification they need to obtain.

For the last four years, I have tailored my lessons to be appropriate for students of all ages and abilities. Having taught children ranging from 13 to 18 years old, I am aware that each child learns differently and so cookie-cutter lessons are not effective. My lessons typically last one hour, though are flexible depending on the needs of the student. I am a firm believer in pedagogical approaches that place emphasis on understanding fundamental principles. Therefore, my sessions involve talking through the underlying theory of the topic using an interactive whiteboard, discussing recurrent focal points of mark schemes, and applying this new knowledge to practice questions.

Before will started to work with me I was behind and failing many subjects but after will started tutoring me, he turned the grades round, and I was able to obtain all the grades I need to get into university, he was also very helpful for how to apply to university.
