About Joseph
Hello! My name's Joe, I am a First-class BSc Mathematics graduate from Newcastle University. I am genuinely passionate about teaching maths, especially to those who find it hard. I believe that everyone can be good at maths if it is explained in a unique way that resonates with them.
Despite my degree, I actually struggled a lot with maths when I was in school, so I completely understand how it feels to not grasp a concept. Since then, I have graduated from university mathematics with the highest grade. I am committed to re-explaining maths in ways that students can understand. I recall hating maths when I was studying for GCSEs, and assuming that it simply wasn't for me. However, at some point it clicked, and I believe that this click can (and should) happen to everyone.
Whether your child is looking to bump their grades up to 8s and 9s, or if they are simply struggling to pass, I will provide new perspectives that their teachers may have missed.

My lessons are hour-long, video call sessions via Zoom, Teams, or any other preferable service. I am enhanced DBS checked. I primarily go through exam question examples on any topic that the student is struggling with, to provide guided revision. However, I am more than happy to give a lesson on a topic and fully explain it from scratch, instead of just revising it.
