About Libby
I am a recent First Class graduate (English BA (Hons)) from the University of Cambridge offering tutoring to A-Level standard in English Literature and Language, as well as specific, tailored Oxbridge admissions tutoring. I achieved straight 9s at GCSE and straight A*s at A Level, so it is fair to say I know my way around an examination paper! I have previously tutored GCSE maths and have received good feedback, but I am very keen to gain more experience and new clients. As the first in my family to go to university, let alone Oxbridge, I am keen to work with students of all kinds who have a genuine drive to improve.

I base my classes on my own successful methodology that worked for me at GCSE and A Level, but I will naturally adapt it to the student. I believe that exam practice is the key to success, but English classes will involve a theoretical approach, including discussion of language and context and helping the student to relate to texts on a personal level, as well as close analysis of language and practice at spotting techniques. As a tutor, I work to build a personal relationship with my students to inspire individual motivation for learning. Lessons can be 30 or 60 minutes, or longer for close-reading sessions.

Perfect! Libby has done a fantastic job organizing the creative writing sessions in a clear, well-structured way that makes each lesson easy to follow and build upon.
