About Arron
I am a Computer Science graduate from the University of Manchester, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring food—both cooking and eating—and I have a passion for playing music. My tutoring journey began in Sixth Form, where I worked as a peer mentor, helping fellow students in the year below with challenging coursework. Over time, I expanded my experience to teach students at various levels, developing my skills to the point where I now have extensive experience tutoring Computer Science. This includes helping secondary school students across multiple exam boards (AQA, OCR, Edexcel, Cambridge), preparing them for exams and assisting with coursework. Although relatively new as a tutor on superprof, I have completed over 250 lessons on the MyTutor platform, where I have consistently received only 5-star reviews. I also teach a range of university-level topics, including algorithms and data structures, computation, logic and modelling, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and object-oriented programming. Additionally, I provide general programming tutoring in languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Haskell, and SQL. Beyond computer science, I also teach Mathematics up to A-level, helping students build a strong foundation in this essential subject.

As someone who has navigated the full spectrum of the educational system, I've encountered a wide range of challenging concepts and learnt firsthand that every problem requires its own tailored approach. My personal experience, combined with the recognition that traditional classroom methods don’t always suit every learner, has shaped my empathetic, student-centred tutoring style. I believe that every student is unique, and I adapt my teaching to fit their needs, ensuring that they get the most from each session. To achieve this, I employ a variety of learning techniques—quizzes, presentations, recap sessions, topic discussions, and exam-style questions—carefully selecting the most effective approach to help you build a deep, lasting understanding of the subject. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where you feel empowered to grasp even the toughest concepts, while gradually becoming more independent in your learning journey.

Perfect! Arron has tutored my son doing Computer Science A Level for a while. My son finds him to be a very good tutor. He also helped my son to plan what work he should be doing in between lessons in the build up to his year 12 exams. Arron said he kept a track of what had been learnt and what needed to be learnt. He is an organised tutor which is important.
Perfect! We've been working with Arron since mid-April to support our son with computer science. While it's still early to measure long-term results, our son really enjoys the sessions and finds him patient, kind, and clear in his explanations. Arron is a great computing tutor. He explain theory concepts and doubts about them very clearly and includes key terminology in his answers. He is also really good for coding as he gives you hints rather than just telling you the answer straight away and makes coding questions that are very related to the GCSE specification.

I would recommend Arron to anyone, at any level of study.Arron tutored my son in A-level Computer Science. My son had been struggling with the theory part of the course. Arron was able to teach the topics in a way that were more accessible to my son than in school and this really helped him build up a much better understanding of the subject.
Arron also helped with the programming side of the course and it’s obvious he is highly skilled in this area.
