About Cameron
I'm currently taking a career break from the UK civil service and have started tutoring as I really enjoy teaching and sharing ideas and knowledge. I understand what is required to achieve excellent marks, but more importantly I also understand the value of enjoying what you are studying and having fun.
I have an excellent academic record, with four A*s at A-Level and a first class degree in History and Economics from Durham University. I received the highest marks in my course for two years running and can therefore really help prospective history students better understand how to improve their writing, arguments, and essays.
I have previous experience teaching at a school in Uganda while travelling, and currently tutor a range of students based in London. I am new to superprof which is why I do not have many references at the moment!

Whether you’re hoping to just regain some confidence, or instead want more intensive exam preparation, I'm happy to help.
I always tailor my lessons to your particular needs. I also really understand the value of critical thinking and want to help students actually understand the fundamental logic behind a given problem/theory, instead of just regurgitating exam-ready answers. This then gives you a far stronger foundation if you come across any questions written in an unfamiliar style.
I am a good listener with plenty of patience. I am also fun and engaging and don't want my lessons to feel like a chore! I’ll always adopt a more discursive style where I help students work answers out themselves rather than just telling them the answer.
