About Christina
I am a second year Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics student that has been giving maths lessons since last July. I have a lot of experience with maths tutoring in a virtual classroom since I have been tutoring online from September. I have also taught maths in Ghana, Africa last July for a month. I currently have about 10 lessons per week.

STRUCTURE OF LESSON:
I always start my lessons with a quick recap of "the story so far", answering all the questions the student has, identifying any learning gaps and ultimately addressing them.
I proceed by teaching the new material of the lesson after demonstrating why the material would be useful to them. The content is presented in a fun and interesting way, explained and analysed in great detail. The last part of the lesson involves the application of the content. This is done by providing the student with plenty of examples and exercises to ensure they have absorbed it!

MY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
First-class-honours: MMORSE (Masters in Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics) degree from the University of Warwick.
Junior Trainee Actuary in the UK Government Actuary’s Department
3 years of maths teaching experience with high school students (around 700 completed lessons in a tutoring site) as well as 1 month teaching mathematics to high school students in Ghana, Africa as part of a volunteering program.
