About Joseph
I’m a passionate and experienced maths educator with a First-Class degree in Mathematics and Qualified Teacher Status. Over the past five years, I’ve taught in one of London’s top-performing state schools, where I’ve supported students across GCSE, A-Level, Further Maths, and university entrance preparation. As both a classroom teacher and Key Stage 4 Coordinator, I’ve helped students achieve outstanding results, consistently leading my department in top grades, while also mentoring fellow teachers and designing curriculum resources. I’ve worked with a wide range of learners, from those needing help building confidence to those preparing for Oxbridge entry. My approach is warm, supportive, and rigorous. I believe that with the right guidance and a bit of encouragement, every student can succeed in maths. As a First-Class Mathematics graduate and qualified teacher with over five years of experience in high-achieving London schools, I offer personalised tutoring in A-Level, Further Maths, and GCSE, as well as support for university entrance exams (STEP, MAT, TMUA). My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, whether they’re aiming for top grades, building core confidence, or exploring advanced topics. I focus on developing deep understanding, strong problem-solving skills, and effective exam technique through clear explanations, structured practice, and regular feedback. I use research-informed methods such as retrieval practice, spaced repetition, and scaffolded challenges to help students retain knowledge and grow in confidence.
