About Hana

I am a recent graduate from Durham University and SOAS London with a background in musicological research as well as performance. As a patient and kind instructor, I make learning music a fun and engaging experience. In addition to my two university degrees in music, I have experience tutoring music for the IB Diploma, and have myself completed the ABRSM Grade 8 in piano, flute, and theory each with distinction. I was Musical Director for two leading competitive choirs at Durham University, and received the award for 'Lifetime Achievement in Music' in my third year there. I have been doing in-person lessons in London since January 2024, which I've found incredibly rewarding. Sharing knowledge brings me joy, and I'm committed to fostering a love for learning in others, making a positive impact through music. I'm excited to be starting this journey with you!

About the lesson

I ensure a holistic musical journey that fosters not just technical proficiency, but also a deep understanding and appreciation for the human side of music. My lessons are for individuals looking to take formal music examinations, or just wanting to take up a new skill in a fun and engaging way. Students in the past have ranged from 8 years old to adult beginners.

I have had the pleasure of working with Hana as a singer in my band. Hana is not only an exceptional singer, but she also possesses a caring and kind personality that makes her an ideal music educator. Her ability to connect with students on a personal level creates a nurturing and supportive learning environment.

I wholeheartedly recommend Hana to other Superprof members because I believe her expertise and genuine passion for music will greatly benefit students at all levels. With Hana as their teacher, I am confident that students will experience tremendous growth and develop a strong foundation in music.
