About Catherine
Hi, I'm Catherine! A fun, enthusiastic guitar teacher with 10 years' experience under my belt. I have an acoustic guitar signed by Ed Sheeran that I can talk all day about, and a gorgeous 70s telecaster deluxe. After all these years, I'm still extremely passionate about my instrument and love to pass on the skill!

I have experience teaching all ages and abilities, from reception to adulthood! As an ADHDer, I'm an expert in tailoring lessons to suit individual support needs. However you want to learn, I'm right here with you!
I can teach you:
- Performance skills: I have a first class degree in this and large-scale performance experience under my belt, such as Glastonbury festival 2024 and 2025, Reading and Leeds 2023, Brighton Dome 2024 and many more. I gig on the regular with my band and have many tips and tricks to pass on.
- Rhythm guitar: Anywhere from the basics, right up to complex augmented 5ths, 6ths, 7ths, alternative tunings, slides, and whatever chords you can think up.
- Lead guitar: Want to be the main character of your band? Let's shred!
- Finger picking: Want to be the folk god/goddess of your dreams? I got you!
- Songwriting: Ever dreamed about writing your own tracks? I'm an expert in this and can build this into our lessons upon request. Happy to send some songs as proof!
- Booking gigs/ general music industry advice: I have been releasing songs and gigging up and down the country for 6 years now. If you're new to the game and want on the ground advice, we can tailor your lessons to support your real world growth and experience.
