About Jennifer
I am a current classroom teacher. I teach 1st grade which is a pivotal year for reading instruction. My strategies and success are deeply rooted in the Science of Reading research. I hold a Master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Reading Instruction. I've taught 4th-8th grade as a special education teacher. I have years of experience and valued training.

We will start off an assessment to determine the student's reading skills and what areas will be targeted. In every lesson, students will get instruction and practice in:
Phonemic Awareness, phonic skills, irregular word instruction, dictation practice, and application to reading passages. Skills addressed include: CVC, digraphs, CVCE, open and closed syllables, long vowel sounds, multisyllabic words, and more!
