About Ariff
My name is Ariff. I was born in Malaysia and was adopted since birth to my two amazing and supportive parents. My dad is from the UK and my mum is Malaysian.
I was blessed and lucky enough to get my education from international schools all over the world. I previously studied in Indonesia, Australia, Italy and Qatar. English was indeed my first language and it is way better than my Bahasa Melayu!
Moving around the world meant I have established connections and made lasting friendships over the years. I was given the opportunity to lead my school in Qatar as Head Boy. I have helped many of my peers who struggled with English speaking as I sort of "forced" them to speak to me in English. I encouraged them to keep practicing with me.
At the moment, I am currently finishing my exams for my flying school in Langkawi and hope to graduate with flying colours to pursue my dream of being a pilot. I do have a strong connection with languages as I am proficient in multiple languages with the hopes to learn many more.
I find myself to be encouraging, professional and approachable so I hope these are qualities you are looking for in a conversational partner!

I approach my lessons very hands-on. We will start things off with small talk sessions where we will gradually work towards more open discussions.
My lessons will be broken down into two parts:
- Small talk conversations (we can discuss our day so far)
- Open discussions (we will discuss anything the student wishes to bring up or I can mention a good subject for the student to practice)
I am also open to any questions and will do my very best to answer them accordingly.
